It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearest Preston Jamari Walker, who left us on October 3, 2024, at the age of 31. Born on August 14, 1993, Preston was kind and courageous, and his warm spirit will forever be cherished.

Preston’s joyful demeanor, resilience, and unwavering humor shone through in all he did. After completing high school, he embraced various odd jobs, reveling in the diversity of experiences and the thrill of learning new skills. At 24, he discovered his passion for barbering and dedicated himself to perfecting his craft. His talent and charisma drew a loyal clientele, bringing him immense joy.

Despite facing numerous challenges from Type 1 diabetes, Preston continued to fight bravely. His warm smile, giggly laugh and charming personality touched everyone he met, and he inspired those around him with his strength.

Preston is survived by his devoted parents, Jason and Allie Walker; siblings, Jalon and Alaina; maternal grandparents, Michael Montgomery and Clentoria Ambrose; maternal great-grandmother, Verlean Ambrose; and a loving extended family of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Perry and Leola Walker.

Preston will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire us all. And though he is no longer with us in body, Preston’s spirit now rests safely and lovingly in the arms of our faithful Father and his memory will live on in our hearts until we meet again.

The Walker family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered their support—through calls, texts, visits, donations, prayers, and kind thoughts. Your unwavering love will always be remembered.
