Prenthia's obituary

Prenthia Jean Lowery Midgett, 78, of Thomasville, GA.  passed on from this earthly life to eternal life on December 24, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Jean grew up in Perry, Fla. and later moved to Orange Park, Fla. and started her family there. She later moved to Thomasville, Ga. to be near her family and worked for many years at Archbald Memorial Hospital.

Jean was predeceased by her parents, George and Winona Nix, Benjamin Midgett (son), Ashton Midgett (granddaughter), and Rick Fiegel (nephew). She is survived by her daughter,  Lori Nichols and son,  Brian  Midgett (Jodie).  Also, her grandchildren, Kyle  Nichols (Alex), Hanna  Nichols (Jake Isenberg), Taylor Midgett, Tyler Midgett (Jordon Melocon) and Seth Midgett. Great-grandchildren Kinsley and Paisley Nichols, Silas and Kasey Isenberg and Stormy Melocon.  Also, siblings, Sue Nix Fitchner (Randy), Paula Nix Dykes (Jim)and Don Nix (Karma).  Also,  nieces, Brooke  Dykes Kidwell (Tim) and Celia Nix as well as nephew, Sam Nix and great nephew, Ethan Kidwell.  Great nieces include Addison and Bailey Kidwell.

She loved her family dearly and spent as much time as possible with them. She reminded them as she neared the end that they would soon be together forever and there would be no more sad days, only happy days. What a treasured gift to those that love her. In her spare time, she loved gardening and tending to her rose bushes.

Jean requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Jean's  loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home in Thomasville, Ga.  on January 28, 2023 at 2pm.
