Porciana's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Porciana Gilles on Feb 8,2025. Born on the 9th of August, 1940 in Lagrande Saline, Haiti, to Romain Paul and Lamercie Numa. On December 13 ,1958 she married Lucien Garnier Gilles, a union that produced 6 children. September 10,1970 she symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God by water baptism. She immigrated to Queens NY. USA in 1972 where she worked in the health field until her retirement and moved to Orlando FL. On Sept 2004 she entered into full time service.
she made her mark on everyone she met with her warmth, love, and welcoming nature. Porciana dedicated her life to serving Jehovah God faithfully, a teaching she instilled in her beloved family and the people around her. Her legacy of kindness will forever be cherished and will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Porciana was a devoted mother of six. She is survived by her sons, Jacques Gilles, Ruck Gilles, Gardi Gilles, and by her daughters, Emmanuella Gilles, Kerline Ngnitang, M. Danielle Gilles. Despite the many roles she played in her life, being a mother was her most cherished. She raised all her children with unwavering love, commitment, and dedication, instilling in them the values she held dear.
In addition to her children, Porciana is survived by her daughters-in-law, Marie Ange Gilles, Stephanie Gilles, and Gabriella Gilles. She will be equally missed by her son-in-law, Robert Ngtan. Porciana was not only a wonderful mother but also a beloved mother-in-law who welcomed all with open arms and a warm heart.
Porciana's joy was amplified by her grandchildren, Theodore Cajuste, Misha Seraphin, Bashirou Ba, Safiat Ba, Calvin Gilles, Angelina Gilles, Adison Gilles., and Connor Gilles. She adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. The lessons she passed onto them, especially her dedication and service to Jehovah God, will be carried forward and treasured.
A woman of faith and grace, Porciana's proudest accomplishments were her service to God and raising her six children. Her tireless commitment to Jehovah God and her family was a testament to her strong, loving, and caring nature.
Porciana Gilles will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered not only as a mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law but as a shining beacon of love, kindness, and faith. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, service, and commitment to her values. May her legacy of kindness continue to live on.
