Phyllis Ann Zamora Baca, 83, passed away on January 18, 2026. She was born on September 9, 1942, in Milliken, Colorado, to Felix Zamora and Pauline Duran Zamora.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Eloy Baca, whom she married on April 20, 1965.

She was a proud graduate of North High School in Colorado, Class of 1960. Phyllis continued her education at Charis Bible College, where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Leadership Ministries in 2009. Her faith and commitment to service were central to her life and guided her relationships, work, and ministry.

Phyllis is survived by her family, who cherished her deeply:

Kim C. Montoya (Daughter), Joseph A. Montoya (Son in Law), Ashley N. Montoya (Granddaughter), Jim P. Baca (Son), Kristin L. Baca (Daughter in Law), Stone P. Baca (Grandson), and Kennedy L. Baca (Granddaughter). 

Additionally, her siblings: Irene Padilla, Barbara Roybal, Felix Quintanilla, Juanita Zamora Rodriguez, Mary Zamora Thompson, Felix “Sonny” Zamora, Sam Zamora, Dorothy Montoya (Deceased), and Rosalie Meyer.

She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her strong faith, and her lifelong dedication to learning and creative arts. Phyllis leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and steadfast belief that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
