Philomena, (Phyllis) Ann Scafidi April 1940 - February 2022
Phyllis, (81) lived in Pensacola, Florida for more that 45 years. She spent her final year and made her peaceful transition at the home of her daughter Jennifer and husband Don, in Palm Bay, Florida.
Those she left to cherish her memory include her sister Suzanne and husband Peter Cono, her four children Jennifer, John, Joey and Jessica. Son-in-Laws Dean and Don and three grandchildren, Mykal (8), Nora (6) and Zoe (4). Her extended family of brother and sister in-laws many nieces, nephews and friends. She loved all her family extremely. She was very proud of her children and her grandchildren.
Phyllis volunteered her time to her children’s schools and worked at the YMCA in Pensacola doing what she loved, being with children. Phyllis will especially be remembered for her beautiful spirit, big smile, infectious laugh, her ability to crack jokes, quick wit, and sing a happy tune at the drop of a hat.
There will be a private mass for family and friends at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church at 11 A.M. Monday, March 21, 2022, located at 401 Van Pelt Lane in Pensacola, FL. Everyone who knew Phyllis or members of the family, is welcome to attend. A brief service will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 1300 E. Hayes St. Pensacola, FL. to lay her ashes to rest.
