Phyllis Knott, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, 87, of Leonardtown, MD, passed peacefully on January 20, 2025, accompanied by her grandson, Michael Knott.
She was born on August 27, 1938, in Melford, England, and was adopted and raised by the late Jesse Barnes and Doris Barnes. She moved to St. Mary's County in 1967. Phyllis was preceded in death by her ex-husband, James A. Knott, her brother Peter Barnes, and her daughter Mary Jane Jennings, …
