Phyllis was born in Riverside, California on May 28, 1938. She was the first born and only daughter of Philip Gordan More and Maribelle Charlcia More. She later became big sister to Douglas More and Bruce More. Phyllis graduated from Polytechnic High School and Riverside College, where she pledged Gamma Nu.

Phyllis moved to Costa Mesa where she raised daughters Laurie and Leslie while attending University of California - Irvine. Phyllis was scholarly and well read. She loved reading and learning new things.

Phyllis was a great friend, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. Above all, she loved her family; Laurie, Steve and Mitchell Grushen and, Leslie, Gary, Sarah (Cody and Emily) and Todd Smith. Phyllis’ passing leaves a hole in the hearts of her family and friends.
