One of the best days was when Julie, Jean, Max and Gianna moved next door. And as it was on many occasions, I would walk over there thru the famed “happy gate” to Jean sitting on the back deck, which I suspect was one of her favorite places, soaking up the sun, enjoying her surroundings, the trees that shaded her, the garden they kept, the birds they attracted, and the tranquility and beauty of it all. She would light up with pride when she spoke of her family, just simply awed by them all, praising them in her wonderful stories and conversations. Her charisma, thoughtfulness, devotion and presence was inspiring and such a joy. And we will never forget when making her what should go down in the books as the “worlds best potato salad”, to put aside a portion just for Scott her biggest potato salad fan.
Thank you Jean for all of the happiness and smiles you have left us with to remember ❤️
