She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Agnes Watkins, her siblings Harold Watkins, Doreen Murphy, John Watkins, and Trevor Watkins, and her dear grandson Ryan Donnelly. Her beloved husband of 32 years, Donald, passed away in 1988. Music was a passion to the entire family and creative endeavours such as the Barrhead Country Opry, Barrhead Centennial Choir, Barrhead Farmers' Marching Band, as well as coordinating delivery of family music to many hospitals and nursing homes filled her spare time She encouraged this and many other talents in her children and friends, believing that all gifts should be used to God's purpose as His hands on Earth. Phyllis had a selfless and outpouring heart that saw other pleasurable labours such as knitting preemie baby outfits for the nursery at the hospital, and also donating handmade twiddle-muffs to the Hospital Foundation for the comfort of a variety of clients. She also took pleasure in delivering Christmas meals to the housebound on Christmas Day on the frosty, snowbound streets of Edmonton. She had a very giving heart. She was living at Woodgrove Manor in Nanaimo and spoke highly of the tender care given by all the staff at her home. She was anxious to return there from the hospital for their tender touch, but her heart was weak and there was another Home that was calling her as well. She will be missed by many, but loved eternally. Phyllis leaves to cherish her loving memory her six children: Sheilagh Todd (Tim) of Tacoma WA, Patricia Donnelly (Douglas) of Nanoose Bay BC, Kimberly Donnelly of Errington BC, Colleen Hook (John) of Enderby BC, Donalda Rempel (Larry) of Nanoose Bay, BC and Michael Donnelly (Teresa) of Peers, AB.
