My deepest sympathy to the family of Phyllis “Miss Burdette” Dikes.  She was my first grade teacher and the catalyst for my loving school.  One of my favorite memories is her inviting her first-grade class to her wedding.  I still have the pictures—such a special day for a first grade little girl!  She truly was a very special lady.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I have memories of meeting Phyllis off and on through the years at family gatherings and she was always such a sweet spirit.  I have had the privilege of caring for her these last few months of her life and even with the dementia, such a blessing and beautiful smile for us that cared for her.  She was definitely one of the "favorites" of the care staff.  She is missed.  Hugs to all of you.  May God bless you and keep you.

Phyllis was an amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother - our hearts go out to all of you.  Living across the street from her was such a blessing to us.  My own Mother loved Phyllis, and they can now visit with each other again, and in the best place ever - with Jesus!  God's comfort and peace to all of you.  Much Love, Patti Krause
