Phyllis Burwell , 56, of Brooklyn NY died unexpectedly on September 2, 2021 from unknown circumstances. Her loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened. Phyllis was born on March 14th, 1965 to Catherine and Phillip Burwell in Brooklyn, NY. Phyllis attended the NYC public school system  and was passionate about art. After graduating high school, Phyllis moved to Far Rockaway with Mason Thomas . She worked as a housekeeper for five years.  Anyone who knew Phyllis , knew that they were kind/loving/caring/warm/brilliant/awesome/wonderful. She had an immense passion for painting  and was always a source of positivity. Phyllis ’s family and friends will miss her more than words can say.

Contributions in memory of Phyllis can be made to the family. There will be a funeral service held at 9am on September 20, 2021 at Coney Island Memorial Chapel. If you cannot attend the service, please consider meeting after the service.
