Phyllis's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phyllis Alexander, who left us on June 2, 2024. Born on April 29, 1960, Phyllis lived a life defined by selflessness, fun, love, and care. She was a beacon of kindness and generosity, a legacy that will continue to shine brightly in our memories.

Phyllis was blessed with a family who loved her deeply. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Anice and Charles Alexander, and siblings Renee Woodley, and Robert Alexander. She is survived by her loving husband Lee James,  her siblings, Audrey Tillman, Randy Alexander, and Charles Alexander.  Her son, Cameron Oates, and her daughter-in-law, Sheena Oates. In addition, her grandchildren, Sariya Oates, Josiah Oates, Maliah LaCour, Skye LaCour, Kiyah Oates, Cambri Oates, Cameron Oates II, Bria Oates, Kennedy Matthews, Madison Matthews, Kadin Saffell, Keaton Saffell, and Takyra Carson. The bond they all shared was profound and special, reflecting the prime importance she placed on family. In her own words, "Family is the most important thing in life".

Phyllis's greatest accomplishments, as she often expressed, were her children and grandchildren. She derived immense joy and pride from their achievements, always prioritizing their happiness over anything else. Her love for them was a testament to her enormous heart and unyielding care.

Her vibrant personality was a beacon of light that touched everyone she met. She was a bundle of joy, a ray of sunshine, and the personification of love and care. Her selfless nature and her readiness to extend help always left a lasting impression on all who interacted with her.

Phyllis will be missed greatly by all. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Yet, her spirit lives on in the lessons she imparted, in the love she shared, and in the memories we forged together.

In memory of Phyllis, a fundraiser entitled "Phyllis Alexander Fundraiser" has been established at https://everloved.com/life-of…. In lieu of flowers, we kindly request donations be made to this fund to honor her memory and continue her legacy of generosity.

May we always remember Phyllis Alexander for the love she spread, the lives she touched, and the legacy of kindness and generosity she leaves behind.
