Phillip A. Mancuso, 35, of Reading, PA, husband to Jenna (Wardius) Mancuso died suddenly on August 25th, 2020 of natural causes in Lancaster, PA. Born January 30th, 1985 in Blacksburg, VA, Phil lived most of his adult life in Reading, PA with his family and friends. He loved and adored his children by whom he is survived: Paityn, Julian “Jules,” Sullivan “Bubba,” and Evangeline. He is also survived by his parents Andrew Mancuso and Elizabeth (Hunter) Mancuso, and siblings Paul Mancuso, Allison Cuthie, Sarah Mancuso, Jesse Mancuso, Emily McGee, and Sam Mancuso and extended family.
As a child, Phil “Flip” excelled at swimming and passed that passion onto his children. His voice could always be heard over all others as he cheered for them. He was not reserved in his expressions of joy, and his laugh was contagious.
Star Wars, Harry Potter, Tool, a good campfire, his beard, and, of course, coffee were among his favorite pastimes. Smart and funny and sensitive, he will be remembered as an attentive, compassionate friend and family member. Music informed his life and therapy, recovery, and Dharma had begun to aid in transforming it. He fought his demons and strove to repair his faults.
His friends loved him fiercely and his wife and children will grieve the loss of him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Phil’s name to RecoveryDharma.org.
