Phillip's obituary
It is with deep sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Phillip Castro Jr, who departed this life on January 11, 2024. Born on February 8, 1965, Phillip lived a life full of joy and laughter, leaving an unmistakable footprint on the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.
Phillip’s personality could be best described as jovial, big, and slick. His laughter was infectious, and his playful spirit brought light to even the gloomiest days. Often seen with a broad, warm smile on his face, Phillip embodied happiness and radiated it to everyone he met. He had a one-of-a-kind personality.
His life was defined by a sequence of remarkable milestones. The birth of his daughter, Sasha Gresham, was a moment that filled Phillip with immeasurable pride and joy. Another one of his significant accomplishments was marrying the love of his life, Angela, an event that brought him enduring happiness. The birth of his granddaughters, Kennedy and Memphis, further marked milestones in his life, bringing him immense joy and fulfillment. In his professional life, earning his Commercial Driving License (CDL) to drive trucks was a notable achievement that he valued immensely.
Phillip had an unending passion for sports, with a particular fondness for the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. His love for golf was another testament to his sporting spirit. But his love was not limited only to sports. His beloved German shepherd, Faith, was a source of joy and companionship. He was also a fan of Texas Roadhouse. Where he enjoyed his favorite steak.
Phillip’s mantra of living life to the fullest extends as an enduring lesson he leaves behind. His vibrant spirit and zest for life continue to live on through his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Phillip and Alice Castro. His brother, Demetric Castro (wife TJ). His loving wife, Angela Castro. His daughter Sasha Gresham. His granddaughters, Kennedy Boyd and Memphis Bereuter. As well as many aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service for Phillip will be held on February 10, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the First Christian Church of Seagoville. As we remember and celebrate Phillip, we seek solace in the joy and happiness he brought into our lives.
