How do describe a guy like Phil? Loving, quick humor, 50+ years of antics, memories to cherish and he adored his family, the Lord he leaned on and his views on politics. He endured his ill health w grace as best able. He truly loved his grands and his friends. We were blessed to have Phil, Sue, Holly and Scott in our lives. Condolences and love to all. Sue and Phil were probably the first couple Diana and I met after moving to Tilton, NH in 1987. It was at a school soccer game where our sons were playing - as best any 9 year olds can. We were members of the same church and shared many fond memories over the years.
Always willing to try to help each other out (often without any particular skills), a couple in particular come to mind: cutting down some large pine trees in his back yard and "ripping up" multiple layers of kitchen flooring in our old farmhouse. It wasn't pretty but the jobs got done.
Phil had a friendly, out-going personality and good sense of humor. We're proud to call him a good friend and will miss his welcoming manner and hugs!

December 3rd, sight seeing Christmas lights in the Trolley with his wife Sue and sister. It was nice to hear him sing Christmas songs and see him enjoy the lights and watch him record some of his favorites. I also loved the time spent at a potluck gathering we had at the church. He always had some conversation going with the group. He was a good friend to all.

I am so glad I got to meet Phil and to enjoy many conversations with him, Susan and Valerie. His wise tid bits will be missed. I'll remember him cracking jokes and singing carols from our bus trip. God Bless and sending love with lots of hugs!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will truly miss him. He holds a very special spot in my heart. Phil was the best neighbor I've ever had.
