Philip's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Philip Andrew Moe on November 21, 2024, at the age of 63. Philip was a proud dad and grandpa who lived his life to the fullest. With his boisterous personality and infectious sense of humor, he could make friends anywhere he went.
Philip began his life on August 28, 1961, in Olmsted, Minnesota. He worked for many years as a mechanic and later in bankruptcy clinics, earning the respect and friendship of those he met along the way.
In 2023, Philip moved to Panama City, Florida, to begin his retired life closer to his two youngest children and the ocean he loved. There, he discovered a new passion for motorcycles and spending time at the beach.
Philip is survived by his children: Stephanie Moe (Rockford, IL), Ashley (Robert) Vorrosso (Panama City, FL), Justin Moe (Panama City, FL), Andrew Calcione (Wisconsin), Genell (Brian) Calcione (Garden Prairie, IL), and Terrie Calcione (Garden Prairie, IL).
He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Ameelya Vesely, Zoie Vesely, Makenzie Holmes, Jesse Vorrosso, Levi Holmes, Tucker Herbert and Aria Vorrosso.
He will be deeply missed by his lifelong friends Piper (Rusty) Turner and Darla (Cliff), close friends Nicole (Jason) K, Tracie Wilhelm-Moe, and many other coworkers, friends, and extended family members.
Philip was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Andrew Moe, and his mother, Beverly Ann Meek.
Celebrations of Life will be held in both Panama City, Florida, and Garden Prairie, Illinois:
• Florida Celebration of Life: January 4, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Panama City Moose Lodge, Panama City, FL.
• Illinois Celebration of Life: January 25, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. in Garden Prairie, IL
Philip’s laughter, kindness, and unforgettable energy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
