Philip Calvin Green, 89, of Green Valley, AZ passed away peacefully the evening of Wednesday

September 6, 2023. Phil was born in Ottumwa, Iowa to Norine and James Calvin Green on June 13, 1934 and grew up with his brother and two sisters. He graduated from West High School in Madison, WI. After high school, Phil received a letter of intent from the Chicago White Sox to play baseball. However, Phil chose to join the United States Air Force and proudly served during the Korean War. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Labor Relations at The University of Wisconsin in 1960 before beginning his career in sales. Phil was married to his wife, Joyce Ann Barbee Green, on June 11, 1977 and they shared their life with their combined 5 children. Phil enjoyed great jazz music, a fine glass of wine and spending time with his friends and wife on the golf course. He was a sports enthusiast including cheering for the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs. Phil is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joyce, his children, Mike (Crystal) Green of Conroe, Texas, Jeff (Kristina) Green of Tucson, Arizona, Jim (Tracy) Green of San Antonio, Texas, Donna (David) Riley of Murfreesboro, TN and Bobby (Lisa) Fite of Memphis, TN. Phil was a cherished grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was a proud uncle to several nieces and nephews. Phil is also survived by his dear cousin, Nora Lee Balmer. Family and friends will celebrate his life on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Valley Presbyterian Church, 2800 South Camino Del Sol, Green Valley, AZ with a memorial service and refreshments to follow.
