Pete was maybe one of the nicest men I think I've ever known. I have nothing but good memories of him from our days in Kodiak.  I am so very sorry for your loss. Lots of love to all of you!

My sincerest condolences on the passing of Coach Pete Van Rossen. I fist met him as my PE teacher back in the 70’s in Kodiak. Later he became my high school swim team coach. He was passionate about instilling his love for the sport into each of us! He was a compassionate coach that we could sit and talk because he truly cared about us. I loved him dearly. I was blessed to cross paths with him once again when I had my own family and we moved to Port Angeles for my husband’s career in 2004. Jan taught our son, and it was great to be reconnected! I am so sorry for Jan, the Kids, and the rest of the family and friends mourning the loss of Pete. 😔  My prayers and thoughts are with you. 🙏🏼💕🙏🏼  RIP Coach
Coach was the best!  He pushed me as a swimmer yet was always encouraging. My favorite memory of him was witnessing him walking the length of the pool UNDERWATER.  He was a dense dude.  I am thankful for his investment in my life. BBig hugs to his family!

My sincerest condolences on the passing of Peter. I'm sure this is a great loss to all his family. Even though I only met him briefly, I know he will be remembered fondly by all that knew him.
