Nobody could light up a room or ease a mixed crowd, with such a humorous, easy going nature, as our dad. An infectious, hearty cackle that will be dearly missed by all. I can’t imagine anyone thinking of Peter, without also, hearing, so clearly, his distinct, beloved, and ever present laugh. That deep cackle, his immensely creative imagination, dark humor, and his endearing spirit, are what have always warmed me in his presence and voice. His ability to make us laugh at life’s absurdities and troubles while offering comfort and support, will be what I will always treasure the most, and hope to pass down for generations. He created a spark in this family that began with him and will continue because of him. I will have to live with the fact that I never spent enough time with him, and we never took that beach trip that we planned for the last 2 years, and it just never came together. I always told him, I would take him in if he became ill and he could share a room with my cats..... he would moan in horror and relentlessly condemn me for such a scenario, with that guttural “ NOooo” laugh. I am glad I was able to hold his hand and try to ease him into his transition, while my brother combed his hair, and my sister told him stories. He will always be a part of us, for the better. A truly miraculous man that made friends everywhere he went. We love you, dad. ❤️😢

Many years ago Peter & I spent a lot of time with my sister Carol & husband John. We had so much fun doing activities, taking our kids on outings, lots of traveling, and occasionally playing pranks on our friends & family. I guess our most famous prank was "tp-ing" houses late at 🌙. Good times!
