Obituary Announcement of Dr. Rotimi Peter Mebude

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing to glory of our husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend on May 19th 2021. He was the beloved husband to Princess Tinuade Mebude and father to Tobi, Tosin and Debra Mebude. Rotimi Mebude is also survived by grandchildren, numerous brothers, sisters, aged mother etc. He emigrated to Calgary, Canada in 1996 after obtaining a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from University of Edinburgh, UK. Since arriving, he and his family made Calgary their home and led a successful career with a number of international companies in Calgary and Fort McMurray after which he went into self-employment.

Virtual Service of Songs and Funeral Ceremony are being planned for May 27 and May 28 2021 respectively subject to approval of the family/Pastor and availability of a funeral home.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the family has respectfully requested that we send condolence messages to them on 403 2956322 as opposed to a physical visit.

While we are saddened by his early exit, we take solace not only in the fact that he has gone to be with his creator, but also that he had an eventful life during which he impacted the lives of many people within his circle of influence. We are therefore joyous and will be sending you an invitation (as soon as the details are worked out) to join us virtually to celebrate his life and time.

We pray that the Lord Almighty grant his soul eternal rest, amen.
