Mixing mirth and cracking everyone’s smiles and laughter, Peter Thomas Krafthefer wielded an earbud in one ear, a Nerf gun in one hand and a fist full of recipes in the other…until now.

Natural causes took Peter Thomas Krafthefer (29) from us on Thursday, 10/10/2019 in his Duluth home. Peter was born in Duluth, MN on August 9, 1990.

Peter graduated from East High School in 2008 and passionately loved to help people, working in local restaurants (esp. Grizzly’s, 7th West and Grandma’s) and as a custodian at Stella Maris Academy St. John’s Campus and recently at Pier B. Peter followed his love for experimenting with flavors and simple ingredients to make amazing meals and menus, leading his guild on WoW, playing D&D weekly and preparing for muzzleloader season with his friends and family. As a dedicated uncle, son and brother, Peter brought the world joy. Quiet and steadfast, Peter kept any serious situation solemn while simultaneously forcing a room into hysterical laughter, always drawing us together.

He is survived by his parents Anne and Fabian Krafthefer, siblings Holly (Eric) Johnson, Matthew (Brooke) Krafthefer, Emilee Krafthefer, nephew Gabriel Johnson, niece Eloise Dahlen, and grandmothers Marinda Marden and Florence Krafthefer.

A memorial service will be held at Cremation Society, 4100 Grand Avenue on Sunday October 20 with a noon visitation and 1 pm service.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to cover costs for this unexpected loss.
