Peter Carl Koenig passed away on June 18th, 2023 at the age of 79 from a battle with cancer.  Although his battle with cancer was a short one, and one that he lost, he fought it with dignity, perseverance, and with a big giant smile. Peter understood the challenges he faced, but faced them with a bravery just as he did throughout his life.

Peter grew up in Pearl River, New York, and made his final stop in Port Jervis, NY, where, along with his wife Nancy who passed away in 2019, will be laid to rest.

Peter was an artist and maker of many things, with a talent to work in almost any medium. This talent awarded him being nationally recognized for his museum quality Tavern and Inn signs. Peter worked right up until the end doing what he loved, and not giving in to any obstacles that befell him, including the sickness that took him from us.

Peter is survived by his son Timothy, his daughter-in-law Alisa, and grandson Logan. He is also survived by his daughter Patricia, niece Stephanie, and granddaughter Lila-Sage. A small service will be held on Friday June 7th 11:30 am, at Drew United Methodist Church, 49-51 Sussex Street, Port Jervis, NY 12771.
