Grateful to you Peter for raising a kind, creative, passionate, warrior artist daughter, my friend Sara. And to read your obituary, that you handled one of the first Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome cases in Massachusetts, in the early 90’s. As someone who has been the subject of parental abuse and has a sibling who I believe to been a victim of MBPS, I'm grateful to you. Although the court protections set up against my mother fell through after my father went outside of the court orders and then died, I am grateful knowing that there were people advocating on my behalf when I was younger. That has been a fieldpost for me to know that the trauma I've experienced is real, that adults saw it and fought for me. Thank you Peter for fighting for all the children and youth who didn't have appropriate caregivers.  I don't know if I met you back in the day, but I can say now, that I'll miss you in this life. Thank you for all you brought to this world. May your next path be as fulfilling as this one was.

I’m so sorry Sara for the loss of your dear dad. My family and I loved the Halloween haunted maze he worked on with you and the amazing decorations, we went every year and marveled at the creativity and dedication to put that together. He was very proud of your art exhibit at HNPS, he really appreciated your work with the children. I remember meeting him, very kind man. I send this with heart felt sympathy and hugs for your loss.

Sara, your dad, Peter,  lived  a rich and interesting life; such a compassionate,  generous and honorable person. We need people like him in this world. As we move on, trying to live our best lives, it gives us strength to think of him. You must have many happy memories .
Sara and I are friends going back to high school, and I spent a lot of time at Peter and Deborah’s house. He was the first person to explain why every individual was entitled to a good defense in the courtroom. This was the 90s when criminal defenders were more likely to be demonized than lionized, but Peter was persuasive and so full of conviction that he got me thinking about it. I agree with him to this day. Their house always had dogs, plural, the kind full of boundless energy. Peter was funny and sarcastic, making jokes that went above my teenage head but landing close enough that I knew I was missing something. My condolences to his family, who have lost a truly unique and original soul.
I remember Peter very fondly.  We worked together and Cambridge juvenile court for quite a period of time in my life. I truly appreciated his sense of humor and his sense of justice. May he rest in peace.

I am so genuinely sorry for your loss Sara - but I hope your father's inspiration continues to guide you creatively and philosophically in his absence.

I am so sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. He was kind & brilliant, compassionate and able to be intellectually objective. He was my friend, mentor and cherished colleague. I have missed him terribly since he left Cambridge Juvenile Court and I will continue to miss him. He clearly loved his family and had wonderful “Irish humor” stories to entertain. He will be sorely missed as a talented attorney and wonderful man.

Sara, your obituary described a most amazing, multi-talented man. Your creation of this site in his honor is so touching. He’s clearly leaving a legacy of immense depth and breadth. Thank you for including me on your list of friends you’ve asked to participate in this labor of love!❤️ 🌟🙏

So sorry to hear this. Peter was such a nice guy. He helped me so much when I first came to practice at the Cambridge Juvenile Court. RIP Peter, you are missed.

LA

My Dad loved camping and travel and many of my childhood vacations were roadtrips. He loved train museums, both to scale and toy, as well as caves, caverns, waterfalls, natural wonders. While looking at all the mighty stalagtites and stalagmites at the Luray Caverns, I asked my dad, "What has been your favorite part about me and my life?" and he said, "Well, it's like a book, you don't know your favorite part until you have finished." At the time, I was annoyed, because he didn't answer the question but now I am humbled by his wisdom and humor.
