PETER's obituary
We are deeply saddened that Peter Flores Jr., born on June 16, 1957, passed away suddenly but peacefully, on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Peter was well known for his witty humor and playful spirit, Peter made everyone he met smile and laugh. His Big heart was filled with compassion, kindness, and generosity for all. Peter probably did not realize it, but he . connected many to Jesus Christ as he guided many to attend the Cathedral of Faith Church for Worship, Fellowship, and Baptism . His teachings were simple yet transformative, guiding those around him to "Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything."
Peter's dedication to his faith was evident in his choice of books, music, and movies. His most loved book was none other than the Holy Bible, while his favorite music was a blend of Classic Oldies and Christian Music. Christian Movies were his go-to entertainment. Also, he Loved the San Francisco 49ers and was excited to watch every game.
Peter cherished his family and kept them close to his heart. His father, Peter Flores Sr., predeceased him. He is survived by his loving spouse, Nancy Valencia; his son, Angel Flores; and his caring step-daughters, Melinda Michel and Ruby Valencia. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Virginia Zapien, and his siblings - Carol Aguaristi, Tony Flores, and Shirley Flores Aguirre. Peter also touched the lives of his (9) Nine nephews and nieces.
Peter, also known as "Cheater Peter" was always funny, cracking joke after joke during visits with friends and family. He was pleasantly silly by those who knew him. Peter always made it known that he was proud of his family and their accomplishments. Peter's vibrant personality left a joyful mark on everyone he encountered. Although Peter was unwell for many years, He never complained, but always smiled through any pain or discomfort.
His legacy of connecting many to Christ and his immense compassion for life will forever be remembered. While his physical presence will be greatly missed, his spirit will continue to live with us. The part of him that is "You" will never die.
Rest in peace, finally with your Holy Father and Father, Peter.
