One of the greatest men I have known.  Always kind and caring about others. I have been lucky to spend time with him that I shall always remember.

Dear Gail,

Ann and I are greatly saddened by Pete's passing.  He  was a wonderful man and a wonderful Rotarian.

We offer you and your family our deepest sympathy.

Dick Darling

My sincere condolences to Gail and the Carcione Family.  Pete was such a wonderful, kind, and caring person.  May you look back on all the precious memories and find peace there.  He will be forever missed.

I still recall the first time I met Peter in the summer of 1971, when I was a freshman in high school. My father would literally  drag us to the produce market at the unheard of hours of 4am to work there during the summer months at Lee Ray-Tarantino. There, I met all these produce characters.. Charlie, Hector, Al,  Hugo  … what’s personalities they were. Then I met Peter. When I informed him that I was a freshman at SI, we bounded and he took the time to invite me to come over daily so he could share stories and insight about the school he loved and the produce industry. We also shared stories and laughs years later when my son Steven had Gail as his math teacher @ Central in San Carlos. Peter was always so genuine and approachable, and remained so over the next 40 + years. As Board members he would constantly share stories about his business, but it was his family that he cherished and all their accomplishments that he was proudest of.

May God bless you and your family. Rest In Peace my friend.

Paul
