Becky Cassidy would like to share this poem for Peter

The Dash

I read of a man who stood to speak at a funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on the tombstone from the beginning…to the end.

He noted that first came the date of birth and spoke of the following date with tears but said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time they spent alive on earth and now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own, the cars…the house…the cash. What matters is how we lived and loved and how we spend our dash.

So, think about this long and hard; are there things you’d like to change? For you never know how much time is left that still can be rearranged.

To be less quick to anger and show appreciation more and love the people in our lives like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile…remembering that this special dash might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy is being read, with your life’s actions to rehash, would you be proud of the things they say about how you lived your dash?

Rest in peace friend.....

It has been a priviledge to have known you.

May God give you His peace...

Peter “Bear,” was a kind and …
Peter “Bear,” was a kind and generous mind easily giving of his time and life to all the entered his home.  He was selfless and cherished a simple life of family, friends, travel, fishing and cooking.  I miss his deep voice calling to check in to say, “ hey Beck, how are ya?”  His boys, lucas, Curtis and Grandson Ben are a tribute to Peter’s extraordinary values in child rearing.  Peter’s boys and grandson were devoted to Peter as seen by the closeness and involvement in each other’s lives.Lucas and Curtis just weathered their first holiday at Christmas without Peter’s presence and his memorable Christmas touches.  Chris circled the boys and Ben with love and care in her Utah home.  Please keep them close as they proceed without Peter.  Realizing that life without our elders is always a challenge and we hope our memories of them will sustain us as we proceed through life.  Sending love and support to our extended Berry family cousins. “RIP Bear.” Love Cousin Becky💕🙏🏻
Happy Birthday Peter! You are missed.

Our condolences to Peter's family.  We loved Peter so much. He was a special person and so full of love. Once you knew Peter, you knew you had a friend for life. We had good times making memories with Peter, Mom Berry, Curtis and Lucas.  Until we meet again dear friend, we love you!
