Pete Owens, 63, of Thomasville, Georgia passed away on September 17, 2025.

Pete was born on December 10, 1961 in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Thomas County Central High School in Thomasville, Georgia in 1980.

Pete was a longtime employee of Cleaver-Brooks, where he made lifelong friends and worked until his retirement. He was a lifelong Florida State University Seminoles fan and a lover of golfing, fishing, and hunting. In his youth, Pete was a gifted and celebrated potter and artist.

Pete is survived by his son, Hunter Owens; his sisters, Yvonne Bennett (Bill) and Patricia Jenkins; his brother, Vernon Owens (Julie); his companion, Kathy Wood; nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Owens; his mother, Evelyn Owens; his brother, Wayne Owens.

In lieu of funeral services, and to honor Pete’s memory, there will be a celebration of his life at a later time.
