Pete's obituary

To everyone who knew him, Pete was an angel on earth whose boundless compassion touched countless lives. He had hundreds of friends, but whenever you were with him, he made you feel as if you were the only person alive. Pete was an extraordinary soul who dedicated his life to bringing joy and comfort to everyone around him. To say Pete was giving is an understatement; always looking out for others and taking care of everyone, he was the epitome of unselfishness, consistently going out of his way to make life better for those around him. His legacy of love will forever inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Together we mourn the loss of an exceptional man, whose enormous heart overflowed with kindness and generosity. Tragically, it was his big, beautiful heart that ultimately took him away from us. Pete Antonio Borba IV (52) passed away peacefully of an enlarged heart, dilated cardiomyopathy, at his West Hollywood home on May 6, 2024.

“Petie” was born on June 1, 1971 to Pete and Judy Borba in Upland, California. At an early age, Pete had a penchant for living large and possessed a taste for the finer things in life. With posters of Lamborghinis on his walls and weekends spent watching “The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”, his modest living, coupon cutting family knew he would definitely be going places. After moving to Loveland, Colorado in 1981 he worked on the dairy farm and helped his father milk cows, but it wasn’t long before he did start “going places”. Pete studied abroad in Italy and traveled all over Europe meeting new people and making lifelong friends. As time went on, his love of travel took him to over 64 countries on 6 different continents, with a final adventure spent in Portugal with his parents and sisters last October.

Pete is survived by his parents, Pete and Judy, older sister Lisa, brother-in-law Craig, his younger sister Jeannie, brother-in-law Chad, 2 nephews, Austin and Cole, 3 nieces, Ashley, Olivia and Sammie, extended family and hundreds of friends.
