Perry's obituary
Perry Leron Davis, Jr., beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on November 23, 2024, at the age of 41. A resident of Zephyrhills, Florida, Perry’s life was marked by service, love, and relentless pursuit of growth and knowledge.
Born on February 6, 1983, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to Perry Sr. and Rosetta, Perry’s journey was one of unwavering dedication and passion. From a young age, he exhibited a deep sense of responsibility and compassion, traits that would shape the path of his life.
Perry proudly served in the United States Air Force for 16 years, rising to the rank of Sergeant. His commitment to his country was a testament to his strength, discipline, and heart for service. He approached his military career with honor, embodying the core values of integrity, service before self, and excellence in all he did.
Perry’s drive and determination led him to pursue entrepreneurship, as he became the owner of multiple Auntie Anne’s Pretzels franchises and a Pita Pit franchise following his military career before continuing his professional career with United HealthCare with whom he was working for at the time of his death.
A man of many talents and interests, Perry’s love for the great outdoors was evident in his fondness for RVing, camping and exploring nature’s beauty. He was a road trip enthusiast, always ready for a spontaneous adventure with family and friends. Perry’s zest for life extended to his love of health and fitness, as evidenced by his achievements as a professional natural bodybuilder, health and fitness coach, and owner of his own supplement company; in addition to his love of cooking delicious meals, coaching basketball, and traveling. He approached each of these pursuits with passion, joy, and a spirit of learning.
Education was a cornerstone of Perry’s life. Over the past four years, he achieved remarkable academic milestones, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) as well as a Master’s of Arts in Management. Not one to rest on his laurels, Perry was in the final stages of completing his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at the time of his passing—a testament to his drive for excellence and lifelong learning.
But throughout every endeavor and milestone of his life, Perry’s most important role was as a servant and soldier for The Lord; always putting others first and truly exemplifying the fruits of the Spirit and what it means to be a true follower of Christ.
Perry’s greatest pride and joy, however, was his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Perry Davis, Sr. He is survived by his devoted wife, Daron Davis; his cherished children, Maximus and Nasyah; his loving mother, Rosetta Greer; and his siblings, Adelia, Katherine, Jessica, Jillian, and Clarence.
To know Perry was to know love, kindness, and determination. He was a man who lived life fully and inspired others to do the same. His legacy will live on through the countless memories he created with his family, friends, and community. He leaves behind not only a legacy of service and achievement but also a profound reminder that life is best lived with love, courage, and purpose.
Perry’s memory will be honored in every adventure taken, every meal shared, and every lesson pursued. He leaves a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Though he is no longer with us in person, his spirit remains an enduring light, guiding us toward love, learning, and boundless possibility.
Rest in peace, Perry. Your impact will never be forgotten.
