Penny Sue (Booth) Sweet,74, of Mayfield passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2024. Born on December 4, 1949, she was the daughter of Leon and Margaret Booth, both of whom preceded her in death.

Penny lived in Mayfield all of her life and graduated from Mayfield High School in 1968. Later she made her career at Lexington in Gloversville until her retirement. Outside of work, Penny was typically "on the go". Whether she was visiting relatives and friends, enjoying outdoor activities or taking a long drive with no destination in mind she had a zest for life which she shared with those around her.

Penny Sweet is survived by her loyal cat Maui, first cousins Clarinda Bellen and Inkeri DeRobertis, former husband Joseph Sweet, caregiver and friend Nancy Bellen and many second cousins.

The remains of Penny Sweet were cremated and returned to her family. A celebration of life in honor of her memory will be announced at a later date.
