It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Penny Pivato, a remarkable woman of substance and spice, on March 4, 2025. Born on May 3, 1953, Penny's vibrant journey of life was filled with impressive accomplishments, endearing love, and an indomitable spirit.

Penny was known for her tenacity and a heart as expansive as the universe. One who whole-heartedly believed in the essence of love, she would often share about the importance of possessing a big heart, preaching not just through words, but also through her actions.

Among her numerous achievements, the one that she held close to her heart was her tenure at NASA. These years were a testament to her ambition and relentless pursuit of knowledge. Her work ethos and commitment made a mark on the people she came across, inspiring many.

Penny was a dedicated attendee of the Lighthouse Baptist Church, her faith being a source of strength and solace. Her spicy personality coupled with her gracious spirit made her an irreplaceable member of the church community.

She is lovingly remembered and sorely missed by her son, Jason Thomas, her daughter, Jessica Franklin, and her daughter-in-law, Eryn Dowd. Each of them an embodiment of the love, courage, and grace that Penny exemplified.

Penny's legacy lives on through the love of her family and friends, the individuals she inspired throughout her life, and the cherished memories she has left behind. We find comfort knowing Penny's spirit continues to guide and inspire us.
