Penny's obituary
We deeply regret to announce the departure of Penny Lombard, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, who entered into rest on September 26, 2023. Born on June 13, 1941, Penny lived a life marked by warmth, wit, and an endearing love for laughter and good food.
Penny is survived by her sons, James, Jack, and Clovis Lombard, and her daughter, Kathy Cox. She will be sorely missed by her son-in-law, Charles Cox, and her daughters-in-law, Tina and Tara Lombard. Her granddaughters Ashley Cox, Kristen, Aeries, Angilee, and Jasmine Lombard and her grandsons Charles Cox Jr., Justice, Jacob, James Jr., Riley, Rowan, Jack Jr., Clovis 2, Eric, and Brett Lombard will fondly remember their loving grandmother. Penny will also be remembered by her sisters Maurine Knavel, Terri McFarland, Chris Wessel, Kathy, Anita, and Jacquelyn Lombard, as well as her brothers Mike and Don Dieser.
In her lifetime, Penny surmounted cancer thrice, an echo of her unfaltering determination and resilience. She was predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Marecella Dieser, her brothers Max Dieser and her sisters Lolita, Pat, and Jerry Lee Dieser. These were losses that deeply impacted her yet shaped the strong, positive spirit that she was.
Departing from us, she leaves behind a legacy of a hard-working attitude that she instilled in those who were fortunate to have known her. Penny was known for her lessons about simple yet critical life skills, such as deep frying food and maintaining cleanliness. Her life was a testament to her fun-loving personality, her unyielding willpower, and her generous heart that cared for those around her.
As we farewell Penny Lombard, we celebrate her well-lived life. Her memory will continue to warm our hearts, reminding us of her signature wit, her laughter that echoed through her home, and her love for food that brought everyone together. Her legacy of determination, resilience, and love will continue to inspire us today and always.
