Penny's obituary
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved mother, granny, sister and friend, Penny (Chadwick) Cooper. Born on November 11, 1958, Penny departed peacefully from this life on August 31, 2023.
Penny's selfless love and boundless compassion will continue to resonate in the lives of her surviving family: her daughters, Jada (Jason) Thompson, Raina Lamb-Cooper, Allie Lamb-Cooper; her sister, Jana Lamb; her granddaughter, Jalyn Thompson, and her grandson, James Thompson. Penny was a beacon of resilience and strength, attributes that are now carried forward by her loved ones.
Penny was predeceased by her loving spouse, Wesley "Danny" Cooper, her parents, Clarie and James Chadwick, her sister, Pamela Hill, and her brother, Chad Chadwick. Her close-knit family was a pivotal part of her life, and she always ingrained in her children the significance of love, unity, and fighting against the odds.
A Celebration of Life for Penny will be held on September 24, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the picturesque Emerson Point Preserve, Pavillion #3. She will be laid to rest at the Sarasota National Cemetery with Danny at a later date. In life, Penny loved bright colors, flowers, and cared deeply about family above all, a noble cause that will be held in high regard and cherished in memories during this ceremony.
Penny’s admirable character was marked by her loving and selfless nature. Her lessons on how to love family and others, how to fight even when the odds are against you, will be treasured and passed down through generations. Her spirit will be greatly missed, but the family takes solace in the fact that Penny is free from pain and sickness.
Penny's spirit, love, and principles shape the legacy she leaves behind, cherished in the hearts of her friends and family. Her life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and selflessness.
