Peggy's obituary
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we sadly announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, and grandmother, Peggy Pauline Tallal, who passed away March 10, 2026 at the age of 78 after a courageous journey with Alzheimer’s. Peggy was born February 28, 1948, to Reuben and Geraldine Pederson, and had three siblings Beverly Thorne, Sonja Dreiling, and Danny Pederson (who preceded her in death).
Peggy was the devoted wife of 47 years to her loving husband Joseph “Jody” Tallal, Jr, a partnership built on unwavering love, faithfulness, and quiet, everyday acts of care. Together, they created a home filled with warmth—where dinner was lovingly prepared nearly every night and family always came first.
She was a proud and dedicated mother to her son, Kelly Osborne; her son, Kerry Osborne (who preceded her in death); her daughter, Tiffany Harlan; her step-son, Trey Tallal, and niece, Teri Pederson, whom she lovingly raised as her own. Peggy embraced motherhood with her whole heart, seeing each child as a gift entrusted to her. She believed deeply that her children were fearfully and wonderfully made, and she was always there to lift them up, guide them, and love them unconditionally.
Her greatest joy multiplied when she became “Nana” to her eleven cherished grandchildren: Jake, Maggie, Skylar, Luke, Tatum, Samuel, Jackson, Landry, Alex, Camron, and Cadence. She loved being a grandmother, and often joked, “If I knew who much fun it was being a grandparent, I would have skipped the kids and moved straight to the grandkids”. She poured herself into them—cooking, baking, creating art, and planning special outings to museums, the zoo, and anywhere she thought would bring them joy. To them, she was magic, comfort, and unconditional love all wrapped into one.
Professionally, Peggy was a highly respected real estate agent for 35 years, spending much of her career with Keller Williams as a top producer. She had a gift not only for helping people find their dream homes, but for building lasting relationships that extended far beyond the closing table. Her clients became friends, and her work was always rooted in genuine care and integrity.
While her professional accomplishments were many, nothing compared to the pride and purpose she found in being a mother and grandmother. That was her true calling, and she fulfilled it beautifully.
Peggy’s legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the love she gave so freely, and the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion, her creativity, and the way she made everyone feel at home.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
A Memorial Service will be held on April 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Lakepoint Church, Rockwall Campus, located at 701 Interstate 30, Rockwall, TX.
