Peggy's obituary
Peggy Jean Oldham, 78, of Red Oak, Texas, passed away on December 17, 2023. She was born on December 22, 1944, in Abilene, Texas, to the late Robert Allen Oldham and Juanita Mildred Oldham. Peggy was a true fighter, overcoming numerous hardships in her life with unwavering determination. She lived her life to the fullest, cherishing every moment.
Peggy's career was dedicated to helping others. She obtained her CNA license through the Red Cross in 1994 and worked for Baylor Home Health Care for ten years. Later, she joined September Services Home Health Care, where she continued to provide compassionate care to those in need.
In her free time, Peggy enjoyed indulging in various hobbies. She had a talent for needlepoint, crochet, and exploring different crafts. Her creativity knew no bounds, and she always found joy in creating beautiful pieces.
Peggy leaves behind a loving family who will deeply miss her presence. She is survived by her sister, Susan Mayfield, and brother, Bryan Oldham. She is also survived by her daughter, Regina Kush, and son-in-law, John Kush, as well as her daughter, Tammy Leija, and son-in-law, Fabian Leija. Peggy will be fondly remembered by her niece, Tonia Dawson, and nephew, Roger Mayfield and her niece Lacey Oldham and nephew James Dillion Oldham. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Adrian Solkema, David Kush, Heather Kush, Colton Ryals, Eryne Ryals, and Mayson Ryals. Additionally, she was blessed with many great and great-great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Robert Allen Oldham, her mother, Juanita Mildred Oldham, her brother, Larry Vance Oldham, her sister, Brenna Gail Oldham, and her sons, Robert Meroney and Jimmy Meroney.
Peggy Jean Oldham will be remembered as a resilient and compassionate individual who touched the lives of many. Her legacy of strength and perseverance will continue to inspire all those who knew and loved her
