With a heavy heart and many fond memories, we announce the celebration of life and the passing of Peggy Lee (Heddens)Harrison, who entered eternal rest on the 22nd of April 2024, at the age of 69 in Greenville, Texas. Born to Phyllis Fought and Durward Heddens on November 22, 1954, in Michigan City, Indiana. Peggy’s presence was a blessing to all who knew her.
Peggy’s life was marked by her unwavering work ethic, which saw her through many years as a respected truck driver and as a dedicated fuel desk cashier. She was known for her reliability, her strength, and the pride she took in her profession.
A lover of life’s simple pleasures, Peggy found joy in the beauty of her garden, tending to her roses and flowers she had put in her yard. Her dogs were a source of constant companionship and comfort, and she enjoyed being at home watching her favorite television shows. The stories and photographs shared by her youngest son from his travels were among the treasures she held dear.
Peggy’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her loving family, including her children: Michael Shaw, Katherine and spouse Justin Collins, Greg and spouse Tammy Harrison. Her siblings, Rebecca and her spouse Roger Puckett and brother Richard Fought. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Jose and his spouse Kacy Rojas, Lacey Hayter, Deziray Glasco, Lane Harrison, Rusty Cooper, Bobby Cooper, and Tori Talley. She will also be lovingly remembered by her beloved great-grandchildren: Peyton, Melinda, Lia, Melia, Jonathon, Rhysand, Brilan, Brixton, Baylor, Briggs, and Blakelee. They along side numerous friends and relatives, will continue to honor Peggy’s memory as best they can.
Coker Matthews Funeral Home in Greenville, Texas has been entrusted with the arrangements for Peggy. The family extends an invitation to those who wish to pay their respects to join them in celebrating her life and mourning her passing.
Peggy was a pillar of love and support to her family and friends. As we say goodbye, we are comforted by the knowledge that her kindness and spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered with love and missed more than words can express.
