Peggy's obituary

Peggy Jane English Stahl was born on September 29, 1961 in Kansas City, Kansas to Anna Elizabeth and Lee Marion English. The first girl to a family of brothers—Lee II, Victor, and George—who just over a year later welcomed little sister and partner in crime Nancy. Known as “Peggyoni” or “Onie”, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri alongside her sister and their good family friends in the Jacobs family. Peggy attended Ritenour Senior High until 1979, then went to Daytona Beach for spring break and decided to call it home! She later returned to Missouri where she spent most of her life before moving to Ohio to be with her husband.

Though never able to have her own, Peggy had a huge heart for children, who could always be found laughing at her uncommonly brutal honesty, fun-loving nature, and hilarious impressions. As a young woman, she learned sign language. She used this skill to put on a production at Florissant Valley Community College in 1981 for children who had lost their hearing.

Those who knew her experienced her joy, humor, and compassion. Peggy carried the memories of those she had lost with her all of her life, especially her brother George who preceded her in death who shared her quick-witted and sarcastic nature.

Peggy spent much of her life bouncing around, making many friends along her way from Florida to Ohio. She loved all kinds of music and was the life of many a party. Though many admired her and would have loved to call her their own, Peggy’s free-spirited nature broke many hearts throughout her life’s journey. In 2022 at age 61, Peggy married her surviving husband, Karl Stahl. The couple lived in Findlay, Ohio where Peggy passed away peacefully in her sleep on the late evening of Thursday, the 8th of February 2024. Peggyoni will live on lovingly in the hearts of her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, husband, and friends.
