Peggy's obituary

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Peggy Duncan, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed from this world on March 6, 2026. Born on August 2, 1953, to Charles and Rose Duncan (nee Curtis), Peggy's radiance touched the lives of many.

Peggy was the bedrock of her family, always putting their needs above her own with unwavering love and sacrifice. She instilled her virtues in her children and saw them flourish, which she considered one of her greatest accomplishments. Her legacy will be carried on by her son, Edward (Dawn) Overbey II and her daughter, Susan Amanda Overbey.

She was blessed with three grandchildren, Michael Berry, William Elliot, and Allison Overbey, who were the apples of her eye. The bond she shared with them was unlike any other, and they will forever remember her warm hugs, bright smile, and endless love.

Peggy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were very special to her.

Unfortunately, she was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Rose Duncan, and her sisters, Patricia Estep and Pamela Bridges. Their love and memories reside in the hearts of everyone who knew them, especially Peggy, who cherished them deeply.

Among her hobbies, Peggy enjoyed spending quality time with her family the most. She believed that the essence of life resided in these moments of joy and togetherness. Her home was always filled with laughter and love creating an atmosphere that welcomed all.

Peggy's loss leaves a void that can never be filled. Her memories, however, live on in the hearts of those she held dear. As we mourn her departure, let us remember and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
