Peggy's obituary

Peggy Collins, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on December 4th after an extended illness, surrounded by the love of her family.

Peggy was born in Sullivan, Indiana, and lived a life centered around love, family, and simple joys. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Collins; her parents; her daughter, Debbie Kerkes; and her two grandsons, Chad Wallace and Christopher Thompson.

She is survived by her children: Linda Thompson, Robert Lawson, and Tammy Baker (Mike Baker).

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Summer Wood (Johnny Wood), Autumn Solis (Carlos Solis), Michael Kerkes (Danielle Kerkes), Scott Lawson (Chuka Lawson), David Lawson,  Derek Lawson and Ryan Baker.

Peggy’s legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Blake Ellis (Heaven Ellis), Savannah Crisp (Brandon Crisp), Gavin Wood, Adrian Solis, and Noah Solis.

She is further survived by her great-great-grandchildren: Hayden Ellis, A.J. Lupian, Brycen Ellis, Evelyn Ellis, Clara Lawson, Charlotte Lawson, and Coral Lawson.

Peggy is also survived by her brother, Bryan Collins (Diane Collins), as well as several nieces and extended family members.

Peggy loved being surrounded by her family and spending quiet days fishing on the bank with her husband, Frank. She adored animals and never failed to smile when they were near. She was also known for her baking—especially her pumpkin pies, no-bake cookies, and her famous peanut butter fudge, which will always be remembered and missed.

Peggy was deeply loved, truly cherished, and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
