Pauline's obituary
Pauline Thibodeau
Sarasota, Florida
1946-2025
Pauline Thibodeau, 78, of
Sarasota, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
She was a beloved resident of the Gardens at Palm Aire and a woman known for
her strength, honesty, and deep devotion to her family and community.
Born on September 6, 1946, in Sherbrooke,
a Province of Quebec, Canada, Pauline was the cherished youngest child of
Albert and Laurence Thibodeau. The youngest of 12 siblings—five sisters and six
brothers—Pauline experienced the loss of her mother at the young age of nine.
From that moment forward, she was lovingly raised by her older siblings, whom
she adored deeply and spoke of with enduring gratitude.
A dedicated and hardworking
woman, Pauline owned and operated a successful cleaning business for over 20
years. Her tireless work ethic extended beyond her business and into her
community. She was an active member of the Gardens at Palm Aire community,
always striving to improve the place she called home.
Pauline lived life with joy and
passion. She loved to dance and was a radiant presence at family weddings and
reunions, lighting up the dance floor with her energy and spirit. She also had
a sharp eye for billiards and was known to be quite skilled with a pool cue.
True to her nature, Pauline was candid and principled—you always knew where she
stood. Her integrity was a defining trait, and she was deeply respected for it.
Pauline was a true
patriot. In recent years, she was well
known for her love of the United States of America and the freedom that it
brings. It wasn’t unusual to see her
enjoying a rally by Donald Trump, who she saw as critical to making America
Great Again!
Above all,
Pauline loved her family fiercely. Her
loyalty and love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing
her.
She is survived by her sister,
Jacqueline LaBrie of Goffstown, New Hampshire, and several in-laws including
Linda Thibodeau, and many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and
grandnephews. Her memory will live on in their hearts.
A memorial service will be held
in Sarasota, Florida, with details to be announced. Pauline’s ashes will also
be laid to rest beside her mother in Norwalk, Connecticut, at a later date to
be announced.
