Pauline's obituary
Pauline Hammon (Clark) passed away at the age of 82 on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in Vancouver, WA. She was born May 30, 1942, in Vancouver, WA. Pauline was the youngest of six children of Joseph and Lola Clark. She was preceded in death by her twin brothers Larry and Lloyd Clark. Pauline is survived by her husband Kenny, children Craig McEwen, Tanya McEwen, Randy Mittleider (Becky), Donica Knigge (Brad) and stepdaughters Kelly Murphy (Richard) and Kari Nielsen (Jamie). Brothers Delbert Clark, Darrel Clark (Carol) and sister Bonnie Manning (Robert). Pauline also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her beloved cat Cody.
Pauline loved watching NASCAR races, planting flowers in her yard and celebrating the holidays with her kids. She was a fun compulsive gift giver that never showed up to any event empty handed. She also loved cartoon character Daffy Duck and after receiving a Daffy Duck watch for her birthday one year that told time backwards making her late to several events, she earned the nickname Daffy Pauline from her husband Kenny and eventually Daffy P for short which she amusingly went by for over 20 years. Pauline was also an avid antique collector who had a great eye for collectibles and could not only spot a garage sale sign a mile away but could strike a bargain with anyone as she was easily liked by anyone who met her. Pauline also loved to go to big antique shows with her sister Bonnie leaving us with fond memories of all the special treasures those ladies would bring home and filling our home with vintage charm.
Pauline’s family would like to thank the hospice staff at Peacehealth hospital and especially the hard-working nursing staff that worked so hard to not only make sure our mom was comfortable but helped us understand everything that was happening during this difficult time. Also, a big thank you to Bonnie Frisson and Rick Mosley who donated hotel rooms for my brother’s extended stay in town. Without these people this time would have been so much more difficult.
Pauline was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be missed by all – we love and miss you mom and are happy that you are at peace now.
