Pauline's obituary
Lady Pauline Bose Bankole was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of those around her deeply. Born on July 4th, 1950, to Chief Samuel Oluyinka (Losi Ake, aka ‘Yes Papa’) of the Larun Royal Family and Lady Cecilia Morinola Ajala of Mary Chamber, Losi Compound, Ake, Abeokuta in Ogun State, Nigeria. She worked as a midwife and a medical administrator before marrying Sir Benedict Olayiwola Bankole in 1974. She then embarked on a global journey, graduated from college in the United States with a bachelor’s degree in medical science from Emory University, and used her God-given talents and abilities to benefit communities in Nigeria and America.
Pauline's life was marked by love, grace, and perseverance. She brought joy to her marriage, nurtured her children with unwavering support, and was a pillar of strength for those around her. She was devoted to family and left a legacy of caring for others.
She leaves behind her loving husband Lai, children (Wole and Bola, Funke and Segun, Bimbo and Seun, Dipo and Ayo, Taiye and Toun, and Kehinde and Roshi), grandchildren (Myla, Ava, Abigail, Amelia, Ebun, Dara, Nathan, Zoe, Eri, Ire, Ini, and Moyin), sister (Mrs. Joan Abioye Odofin), and many dear relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers (Ambassador Dotun Ajala, Engineer Taiye Ajala, and Monsignor Christopher Ajala).
As we honor her, let us remember the beautiful soul that touched our lives and what she cherished the most: love and togetherness. We are grateful to have been a part of her wonderfully well-lived life. May her gentle soul rest in peace with our Savior.
