In lieu of flowers

Please consider a contribution to Children's Scoliosis Foundation.

Background

Pauline, had severe Scoliosis and we as a family witnessed what this terrible disease can do to a person’s body. Early detection is critical in helping to combat the progression of Scoliosis and that is why, in lieu of flowers etc. that donations be made to the Children’s Scoliosis Foundation in her honor. In time, we are hoping they can find a cure for this disease but in the meantime perhaps we can help a child get ahead of this disease and live a full happy and healthy life without pain. Frequently asked questions

Answered by a team member at Children's Scoliosis Foundation

  • How are donations used?

A diagnosis of childhood scoliosis can take an emotional and financial toll on families, especially when they must travel long distances to seek specialized bracing, casting, or surgical treatment. A medical travel grant can help ease the burden on families, while our care packs (featuring Higgy Bears!) help to bring a smile to children who are facing a new and uncertain situation. Through our research and education programs we strive to advance global knowledge about scoliosis detection, causes, treatment, and possible prevention strategies. 100% of your donation will go to our programs, including medical travel grants, care packs, education and research programs.
