The world lost a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Paula Jo Tate, 74, of Altadena, Ca passed away January 20, 2022 with her family by her side.
She was born to late Joseph and Sophie Peters on October 29, 1947, in Tucson, Az. Paula graduated in 1966 from Palo Verde Highschool and received Associates Degree from Mission College in 1981. She retired after over 30 years working in the insurance industry.
Paula married Errol Tate August 25, 1983. They lived together in Altadena, Ca for 40 years. Paula is predeceased by her parents, sister MaryAnne, Aunt Mary, Uncle Julien and her nephew Jimmy. Paula is survived by her sisters, Kathy Hopfensperger, Mesa, Az and Joanie Kaufman, Tucson, Az. Three children: Sherri Jay, of Snohomish, WA; Joanna Bell, of Pasadena, Ca; and Jared Bell of San Tan Valley, Az. A daughter-in-law, Shannon Bell, San Tan Valley, Az and Son in-law Robert Jay, of Snohomish, WA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Britt Biehl, WA; Johnny Jay, WA; Krianna Pablo, Ca; Krishnan Pablo, Ca; Shaelin Arata, Az; Christian Arata, Az; Brenna Bell, Az, Anicca Yard, Az, and Annica Bell, Az. Paula also is survived by eleven great-grandchildren. And many nieces, nephews and cousins. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joys to Paula. She loved a quiet evening with family, her dogs and a glass of wine in hand. Paula enjoyed; shopping, thrifting, traveling, looking at homes for sale in the area and eating. She always loved to laugh, sing and dance.
Most of all Paula loved her family and friends so much that she would do anything to help them if for any reason she felt they were in need. She gave so much love and support to many.
