It is with immense grief that we announce the passing of Paula Riveros, a cherished person in our lives, who was born on July 12, 1968, and passed away on July 2, 2023. A memorial service celebrating Paula's life will be held on July 29, 2023, at 10:00AM located at Concordia Lutheran Church 8701 SW 124th St.

Paula was an active and engaged member of the Lutheran Church and participated wholeheartedly in community events and sports such as Pickleball and Dragon Boat Racing. With a love for sauerkraut and homemade tea, Paula saw great value in the  joys that life had to offer.

Restless in her endeavor to explore life's depth, Paula was an avid reader. Among her beloved books stood "Miracles" by C.S. Lewis. Music from Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, and Michael Jackson filled her world with rhythm, and movies such as "Lord of the Rings" and "Nacho Libre" held precious moments for her. She appreciated art, favoring works by artists like Rodin and Monet. Games like "Just Dance" and ping pong got her competitive spirit flowing. She loved being by the water, writing, and watching sunsets, especially in her own backyard. Kayaking, and pickleball were her favored forms of exercise.

Paula had a love for the ocean and appreciated warmth and the serenity of Florida’s beaches .She was particularly fond of the color sea foam green, a multifaceted and layered color just like her.

Described by her loved ones as witty, warm, kind, loving, smart, creative, joyful, and understanding, Paula led by example. She taught those close to her invaluable lessons about life and self-care. Among her greatest accomplishments were the children she raised and the enjoying the life she forged for herself.

Paula's legacy will forever be remembered as one of love and joy. Although now held in the hands of God, she remains in the hearts of those who were fortunate to have known her.
