Background
On November 11th, 2025, our beloved Paula Padilla Carnittini gained her wings at the age of 93. Paula was so much more than a mother of five, she was the heart and soul of our family. Her laughter echoed through every gathering, her stories brought generations together, and her love for even the simplest things, like tidying up the house or sharing coffee in the morning reminded us how beautiful everyday life could be. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen, loved, and cared for.
Just weeks before her passing, on October 20th, Paula celebrated her 93rd birthday surrounded by love at her daughter’s home (“Titi Cuka”) in Puerto Rico. But soon after, she began experiencing complications with her pacemaker and had to undergo emergency surgery. Despite her incredible strength and the constant prayers of those who loved her, Paula fell into an induced coma. On November 11th, she took her final breath and peacefully crossed over to heaven after a collapsed lung.
Now, our family’s deepest wish is to bring Paula back home to New Jersey, where her children, grandchildren, and loved ones can honor her life the way she deserves — with warmth, faith, and the love she always gave so freely. Unfortunately, the cost of transporting her from Puerto Rico and covering remaining burial expenses totals $5,000.
We are humbly asking for your support to help us make this possible. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to reuniting Paula with her family and allowing her to rest surrounded by those who cherished her most.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for helping us bring Paula home and for keeping her memory alive through your love, prayers, and generosity. ❤️ Contribute
