Paula Marie (Severance) Nicholson, age 53, passed peacefully in her home on March 2, 2021 surrounded by loved ones.

Born October 11, 1967, daughter of Floyd and Linda Severance, Paula was their middle child. She enjoyed staying in close contact with her brothers, Michael "Mike" Severance of Orrington, and Floyd "Floydie" Severance Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona.

Paula took great pride in her role as a wife, mother, and Nana; her most treasured title. She loved to crochet hats and blankets for her six grandchildren.

Whether in a vehicle, on the back of her husband's bike, or on Brewer Lake in their kayak, Paula enjoyed scenic travels. Paula and Daniel met in June 1986, and were married just three months later. They described their meeting as "Love at first sight" and together had three children, Christian Nicholson of Levant, Kayla (Nicholson) Noddin of Dedham, and Keisha Nicholson of Brewer, Maine. 

Paula loved board games, puzzles, and a good cup of coffee. She was an avid reader. Even as she approached her final chapter here, shelf herself with grace, and was quick to offer a joke or comforting word; a testament to her endless strength and selfless spirit.

Paula was predeceased by her mother, Linda Severance. She will be missed by her beloved husband of 34 years, Daniel Nicholson; son, Christian Nicholson; daughter Kayla (Nicholson) Noddin and husband, Douglas; daughter, Keisha Nicholson; grandchildren, Blake Noddin, Gabriel Noddin, Elijah Nicholson, Emmett Noddin, Jediah Noddin, and Theodore Noddin; father, Floyd Severance Sr.; brothers, Floyd Severance Jr. and Michael Severance; nieces, Mary and Alex Severance; nephew, Micheal "Mikey" Severance Jr.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins she held dear.
