Paula (Montgomery) Curry, 66 passed away September 25, 2023, after an illness at the Chester County Hospital, in West Chester, PA. Paula Montgomery was born February 20, 1957, at Coatesville Hospital in Coatesville, Pennsylvania to the late Augustus Montgomery, Sr. and Shirley Maxine (Hall) Montgomery.

Paula was a brilliant child growing up and remained on the honor roll throughout her elementary, junior high and high school years. She attended West Chester University where she graduated magnum cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1979.

During Paula’s early childhood she enjoyed spending many of her summers with her Great Grandparents Cicero and Carrie Hall. Later in life she spent 15 plus years with her companion Frank and enjoyed a quiet lifestyle. During the holiday season she loved making her late Grandmother Sheldonia (Culcalsure) Taylor’s recipe for Black Walnut cookies. She also enjoyed preparing a weekly meal which she enjoyed sharing with her brother Lionel. She loved to shop during the wee hours of the mornings before the stores became crowded and spend the remainder of her day at home listening to music or enjoying a good television program. Paula also enjoyed watching professional baseball, basketball and making occasional trips to Atlantic City. Paula was a kind hearted and gentle human being and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Paula was preceded in death by her father, Augustus Montgomery Sr, mother, Shirley Maxine Montgomery, brother, Augustus Montgomery II, and nephew Alteric Smith. She is survived by her daughter Rasheeda (Montgomery) Jordan (Nathan), sisters, Lora Montgomery and Renee Montgomery, brother, Lionel Montgomery, sister-in-law, Carolyn Montgomery, uncles Tedd Hall and Jake Montgomery, aunts Dr. Trusandra Taylor, Miram (House) Hall, and Costella Montgomery, nieces Danielle Montgomery, Venus (Montgomery) Delsol (Dan), Erica Montgomery, Lanay Montgomery, Mona Lisa (Lopez)Montgomery, Nieasha Montgomery, nephews Travis Montgomery (Dawn),  and George Graves II, her best friend Pamela St. John and a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews.

There will be a small burial service scheduled for 12:00 pm, at the New Evergreen Cemetery, 206 Cemetery Road, Coatesville, PA 19320, October 5th, 2023.
