Mrs. Paula Jean Jennex (née Sease)

Mrs. Paula Jean Jennex, born Paula Jean Sease, passed away on January 13, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 54. Her passing marks the end of a vibrant life that touched many and left an indelible mark on those who knew her.

Born on January 4, 1972, in Des Moines, Iowa, Paula spent her entire life rooted in the community she loved. She graduated from Des Moines Lincoln High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Des Moines Area Community College. Her dedication to education reflected her determination and drive—qualities that defined much of her life.

Paula was known for her bright spirit and larger-than-life presence. Her energy filled every room she entered, and her laughter was unmistakable. Those who knew her will remember her as someone who lived boldly and loved deeply.

She shared a profound bond with her late husband, Shaun Jennex. Their love was the cornerstone of her life, and his passing left a void that never truly healed. While Paula’s spirit dimmed with his loss, there is comfort in knowing they are now reunited.

Paula leaves behind four beloved children: Jacob Jennex, Rachael Jennex, Nathan Jennex, and Kristy Jennex. She is also survived by her mother Bobbie Sease; niece Angela Fields; and nephew James Gosselin. Each of them carries forward a part of Paula’s legacy—her strength, warmth, and unwavering love.

A funeral service to honor Paula’s life will be held in Des Moines, Iowa. 

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Funeral Mass will be held on January 17, 2026, from 08:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Anthony Catholic Church 15 Indianola Rd
