Paula's obituary

Paula Coles Hill, 60, a resident of Great Falls, VA, peacefully passed away on April 19, 2023, after a courageous battle with cholangiocarcinoma. Born on May 18, 1962, at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, she was the beloved daughter of Walter and Lillian Coles.

Paula was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Samuel Hill, her children Christine Langford-Dixon (Khalid), Nannette Langford (Brittany), Devan Allseitz (Brandin), and Shannon Hill. She also cared for her nephews, Adrian Coles (Alexis) and Julian Coles, as if they were her own. Paula will be dearly missed by her siblings, Walter Coles Jr., Gwendolyn Gatling (Kenny), and Jennifer Coles, as well as 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Coles, her mother, Lillian Coles, and her eldest sister, Wanda Coles.

Paula earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Potomac College of Washington and a Master's Degree in Practical Theology from Regent University. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to federal government service, retiring from the Department of Education in 2018. Additionally, Paula worked as a real estate agent, alongside her eldest daughter.

An unwavering servant of God, Paula faithfully served at Revolution Church DC. As an ordained minister, she officiated numerous wedding unions. However, her greatest passion was her non-profit organization, Daughters of Promise, which aimed to enrich the lives of women at every stage.

Paula's loving and caring nature defined her personality. She taught others invaluable lessons of strength and touched countless lives with her love and positivity. Her legacy will be forever cherished as one of warmth, acceptance, and kindness, leaving an indelible impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Throughout her life, Paula radiated love, acceptance, and kindness. She enjoyed simple pleasures such as savoring her favorite food, blue crabs, watching vet reality shows on TV, and taking long walks to stay active. The beach was her favorite vacation spot, where she created many cherished memories with her family.

The family held a private ceremony to scatter her ashes over the majestic Chesapeake Bay. A Celebration of Life in honor of Paula will be held at 2:00 pm on May 21, 2023, at Brentsville Hall in Manassas, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. Contributions can be made through the following link: https://everloved.com/life-of…
